About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Dispatcher to join our waste hauling operations. This is a critical role that bridges the gap between our drivers, our equipment, and our customers. You will be responsible for ensuring our fleet is running efficiently while managing the daily logistical demands of both on-call roll-off services and recurring frontload/rearload routes.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can pivot quickly when schedules change, and understands the importance of maintaining a safe, reliable fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Dispatching: Coordinate and dispatch daily routes for roll-off, frontload, and rearload trucks to ensure maximum efficiency and on-time service.
- Fleet Oversight: Manage vehicle maintenance schedules, track inspections (DOT compliance), and coordinate repairs with mechanics to minimize downtime.
- Route Optimization: Continuously evaluate and adjust recurring routes for density and productivity.
- Driver Management: Act as the primary point of contact for drivers; provide clear instructions, monitor progress throughout the shift, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Customer Communication: Handle service requests, troubleshoot delivery/pickup issues, and provide professional updates to clients.
- Logistics Tracking: Maintain accurate logs of container inventory, fuel usage, and disposal tickets.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in fleet management and/or dispatching (experience in the waste industry or heavy equipment logistics is highly preferred).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with roll-off operations and recurring route management (frontload/rearload).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in dispatching software and GPS tracking systems.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of DOT regulations and FMCSA safety standards.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly and remain calm under pressure.
- Location: Must be reliable and local to the service area to manage on-site fleet needs.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $49,000.00 per year
