Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic ETCP (Entertainment Technicians Certification Program) Rigger to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently rigging, load handling, and operating heavy equipment on construction sites and entertainment venues. Your expertise in rigging techniques, crane operation, and safety protocols will ensure that all lifting and material handling tasks are performed with precision and adherence to safety standards. Duties
- Safely perform rigging operations using load securing rigging methods, overhead cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.
- Conduct thorough load handling procedures in crane operations, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement for each lift.
- Operate cranes, hydraulic machinery, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment with precision in construction or entertainment settings.
- Implement and adhere to OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations during all rigging and lifting activities.
- Inspect safety equipment such as harnesses, slings, shackles, and load securing devices before use; replace or repair as needed.
- Coordinate with team members to execute complex lifts, ensuring all materials are handled safely during shipping & receiving processes or on-site material handling.
- Maintain detailed records of all rigging activities, inspections, and safety checks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction workplace safety regulations, materials handling, and heavy equipment operation.
- Valid ETCP certification as a rigger or equivalent qualification demonstrating expertise in rigging techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of cranes, hydraulics, lifting equipment, overhead cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, and material handling equipment operation.
- Demonstrated understanding of load handling procedures in crane operations and the implementation of OSHA safety standards.
- Ability to operate construction site machinery such as backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and warehouse equipment confidently.
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols including the use of safety equipment like harnesses and helmets.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating lifts and ensuring team safety during complex operations.
