Job Summary
The Safety Intern supports the organization’s health and safety programs by assisting in the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of workplace safety initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in identifying hazards, conducting safety inspections, maintaining compliance documentation, and promoting a culture of safety across all departments.
The Safety Intern collaborates with Safety leaders, Human Resources leaders, and Production teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies while gaining practical knowledge of occupational health and safety practices.
This position also supports and coordinates a wide range of administrative and operational functions to ensure efficient business operations. The Safety Intern plays a key role in supporting workflows, maintaining compliance with company policies, and facilitating communication across departments to promote a safe and effective workplace.
Essential Functions
- Ability to work approximately 40 hours per week.

- Responsible for good housekeeping.
- Ability to help out in other areas/departments when needed.
- Works with the Safety department to complete tasks.
- Distributes and collects toolbox talks monthly.
- Assists with Safety audits weekly.
- Assists with rigging repair/order.
- Assists with documentation for Safety Meetings.
- Assists with administrative tasks for injuries/incidents.
- Assists with incident investigations.
- Assists with compliance inspections.
- Performs shop walk-throughs and Safety monitoring.
- Performs recordkeeping functions for Safety documentation.
- Assists in distributing and receiving Safety documentation.
- Assists with Safety inspections by completing and monitoring required items.
- Collects documentation and files for the company.

Experience
- One to two years of related experience.
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
