Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychotherapist / Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services, including psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and patient assessments, to diverse populations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-ICD-10 coding standards to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, child & youth therapy, and family counseling using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Ability to understand and Provide Therapeutic Support in Portuguese, Haitian Creole, Spanish, and Cape Verdean Creole. Highly desired.
- CANS Certification Required
- Implement crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies to ensure patient safety during acute episodes or emergencies.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and medical documentation requirements while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Deliver telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure EMR/EHR systems to expand access to mental health services remotely.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, and special education staff, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, document clinical notes in accordance with ICD coding conventions, and ensure timely completion of all documentation related to patient care and treatment planning.
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, behavior management, and child & family counseling.
- Proficiency in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavior management strategies for individuals with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards.
- Skilled in conducting mental health assessments for diverse populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD care needs, chronic pain counseling, and gender issues counseling.
- Experience working in inpatient/outpatient settings and familiarity with hospital environments is preferred.
- Competence in evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), social work principles, case management techniques, and research methodologies related to mental health care.
- Ability to utilize telehealth platforms effectively while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams; ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.

Pay: $67,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
