Comer Pet Lodge and Spa is excited to announce the opening of our brand-new grooming facility, and we are looking for a talented and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our growing team! In this energetic role, you will provide exceptional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of pets. Your enthusiasm for animal care, combined with your skillful handling and grooming techniques, will create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of animals while building strong relationships with clients.
Position Responsibilities:
- Groom dogs and cats according to breed standards and client requests
- Bathing, brushing, drying, nail trims, ear cleaning, and sanitary trims
- Safely handle pets of all sizes and temperaments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grooming facility
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally with pet owners
- Monitor pets for skin or health concerns and communicate findings to the veterinary team when needed
Qualifications
- Previous grooming experience preferred
- Pay based on experience and qualifications
- Strong animal handling skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely as required for equipment or large pets
- Excellent customer service skills to engage with pet owners professionally and courteously
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
