Description:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Loom Operator. This position involves operating and monitoring weaving looms in a manufacturing environment. While experience is a plus, we encourage all interested candidates to apply, as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate and monitor weaving looms.
- Proactively monitor looms for defects and take corrective action, including restarting looms as needed.
- Replenish yarn supply by replacing empty bobbins with full ones (bobbins can weigh up to 20 lbs).
- Perform basic loom maintenance, such as fixing broken yarn ends and tying broken Lenos.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work safely and efficiently.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new tasks quickly.
- Ability to lift and handle objects weighing up to 20 lbs.
Working Conditions:
This position requires working with glass fibers in a manufacturing environment that is not climate-controlled.
Shift Available:
- Overnight Shift: Monday–Friday, 07:00 PM – 03:30 AM
Note: No weekend work required
Compensation: $16 per hour
