Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part Time Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Part Time Server, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding dining experience to our guests, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Toast POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and recommendations, while upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, including basic math for checks and tips.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and assisting with sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and maintain positive guest relations.
- Assist with hosting duties when necessary, including managing reservations through OpenTable.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and check processing are essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required.
