Maintenance Technician

Position Summary
The Stamping Machinery Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing large metal stamping presses and related production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and continuous equipment reliability while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. The technician will work with minimal supervision and collaborate closely with production teams to minimize downtime and support operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and maintenance on motors, drives, belts, pumps, conveyors, and stamping equipment
- Inspect fluid levels, replace filters, and identify wear or potential failures before breakdowns occur
Troubleshooting, Repair and Documentation:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on large stamping presses (200–3000 tons)
- Repair machines and equipment using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices
- Access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and other material-handling equipment
- Accurately document maintenance work, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities
Safety & Compliance
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Adhere to OSHA requirements and ISO quality management standards during maintenance activities
Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
- Assist with new machine installations and process improvements
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2–4 years of previous experience in tool and die (required)
- 2–3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred)
- Experience with metal stamping equipment strongly preferred
Technical Skills:
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Working knowledge of:
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Electrical systems and machine repair
- PLC controllers (preferred)
- Technical manuals, schematics, and drawings

Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Work Schedule
- First shift: Monday-Friday or Second Shift: Monday-Thursday
- Must be flexible and willing to work outside regular hours when maintenance needs arise
Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
