We're seeking an experienced Administrator / Help Desk Engineer to support secure, mission-critical environments that enable software development teams and mission users to deliver capabilities supporting national security.

Primary Responsibilities
Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows server environments supporting mission-critical systems.

Serve as a primary technical support resource for end users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, operating system, and application issues.

Manage support requests through resolution while delivering timely, professional customer service.

Deploy, configure, harden, patch, and maintain operating systems in accordance with DoD STIGs and organizational security requirements.

Administer virtualization platforms including VMware and KVM.

Monitor infrastructure health, analyze system performance, perform root cause analysis, and proactively resolve issues.

Support enterprise storage, backup and recovery solutions, disaster recovery planning, and continuity of operations.

Develop and maintain automation using tools such as Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Maintain system documentation, configuration baselines, and support configuration and release management activities.

Collaborate with software engineers, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, cloud, and network engineering teams to ensure reliable and secure operations.

Support system deployments, upgrades, modernization efforts, and infrastructure improvements.

Participate in security audits, vulnerability remediation, incident response, and operational readiness activities.

Lead technical troubleshooting efforts and provide guidance on complex infrastructure issues.

Basic Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship required.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Polygraph.

DoD 8570 IAT Level II or Level III certification (Security+ CE, CASP+, CISSP, or equivalent).

Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, and Windows Server environments.

Experience supporting cloud platforms such as AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or hybrid cloud environments.

Experience with virtualization technologies including VMware and KVM.

Experience developing automation using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

Experience implementing STIGs, system hardening, ACAS remediation, and RMF security requirements.

Strong understanding of enterprise networking, storage technologies, identity and access management, and authentication services.

Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure and user support issues in enterprise environments.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical procedures and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

Experience supporting classified DoD or Intelligence Community environments.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting GEOINT missions or geospatial systems.

Experience with DevSecOps tools and technologies such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Experience administering enterprise services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, PKI, and certificate management.

Experience supporting enterprise backup and recovery solutions.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management best practices.
