Heavy Equipment Operator
RKE Contractors is looking to hire a Heavy Equipment Operator to work on a Heavy Civil Federal project in the Helena, Arkansas
Job Type: Full Time, In-Person
Schedule: Monday – Friday, with some Saturdays as needed
Pay: $25 - $35 an hour
Job Tasks:
The Operator’s job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must have experience with the following:
- Breaker (hydraulic hammer) on large excavator
- Cutting grade with excavator
- Operating one or more of the following equipment and/or machines:
- Excavator
- Dozer
- Wheel Loader
- Preparing construction sites for building, demolition, or excavation
- Performing daily machine inspections and routine greasing, oiling, and fueling
- Performing other job duties as assigned, such as some manual labor
- Complying with all safety regulations, policies, and record-keeping
Operator Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to bend, kneel, push, pull, walk on rough terrain, and climb in and out of equipment and work areas
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments
- CDL is not required, but is preferred
