Cedar City Veterinary Care – Lebanon, OH
$15–22/hour (based on experience)
Full-Time | 36–40 hours/week | 4-day work week + one half Saturday per month

Cedar City Veterinary Care is a privately owned, growing small animal practice in beautiful downtown Lebanon. We pride ourselves on practicing high-quality medicine with longer appointment times, low-stress handling, and exceptional client service. We're looking for an experienced team member who enjoys both patient care and building relationships with clients.
This is a hybrid position, spending time both assisting in the hospital and helping our clients at the front desk. No two days are exactly alike, and we're looking for someone who enjoys variety, stays organized, and takes initiative.
What We're Looking For
- At least 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working as both a veterinary assistant and client care representative.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
- Dependable, punctual, and motivated to continue learning.
- Enjoys working in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during appointments and treatments
- Safely restrain dogs and cats using low-stress handling techniques
- Prepare surgical and dental patients
- Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostics
- Take digital radiographs
- Fill prescriptions and maintain accurate medical records
- Monitor hospitalized patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
Client Care Duties
- Answer multi-line phones
- Schedule appointments efficiently
- Check clients in and out
- Process payments and estimates
- Handle prescription refill requests and medical records
- Provide outstanding customer service from the first phone call through checkout
