About the Role
We're looking for a boots-on-the-ground Field Marketer to own Radial's local presence in Myrtle Beach and relevant surrounding areas. This is a community-first, direct-to-consumer role. Your job is to get everyday people talking about Radial.
This is a ground-floor opportunity to define what local marketing looks like for Radial in a new market. You'll identify the right events and community touchpoints for Myrtle Beach and Conway, show up, build relationships, and make Radial a recognizable, trusted name in the community. You'll also be responsible for recruiting and managing a small team of brand ambassadors to staff events alongside you.
This role reports directly to the Marketing Manager.
What You'll Do
Event Strategy & Community Presence
- Research, identify, and vet local events, like farmer's markets, festivals, mental health awareness walks, community fairs,ribbon-cutting ceremonies, chamber of commerce events and more
- Build and manage a monthly event calendar for Myrtle Beach/Conway
- Staff events yourself when needed, but especially especially early on to learn how we represent ourselves, our language, etc.
- Master the Ambassador Training Playbook so you can comfortably message what we do and teach future ambassadors on our approved communications.
- Own inventory management (restock, replacement of broken equipment, etc.)
- Radial Myrtle Beach is currently at ≈6 events a week, staffed by existing Ambassadors. We are looking to increase that number to ≈7-10 events a week, with additional coverage provided by the Field Marketer and/or additional Ambassador hires (which this role will be responsible for recruiting).
Brand Ambassador Hiring & Management
- Source, hire, and train local brand ambassadors to staff events on your behalf
- A traditionally good source of ambassadors are college students, so working with local colleges and university, psych clubs, etc is highly encouraged
- Ensure ambassadors are trained, prepared, on-brand, and following Radial's talking points and guidelines
- Be the point of contact for your ambassador team day-to-day
Reporting & Logistics
- Schedule and track event performance: conversations had, materials distributed, leads generated
- Coordinate materials ordering and supply restocking with the marketing team
- Submit weekly event recaps and flag what's working and what isn't
What We're Looking For
- You're a people person - you genuinely enjoy talking to strangers and representing something you believe in
- You know Myrtle Beach and Conway well and have a feel for where people gather and what community events actually draw a crowd
- You're organized and self-directed. You don't need someone to tell you what to do every week
- Experience in grassroots marketing, community outreach, events, or brand activation is a plus
- Passion for mental health, wellness, or healthcare is a big plus
- Prior experience managing or leading others is helpful but not required
What We’re NOT Looking for
- This is not a clinical position, so you will not be asked to present any detailed information on diagnosis or treatments. The goal is for you to share approved messaging on treatments, types and outcomes data to raise awareness, not provide any clinical opinions.
Logistics
- Part-time, with a schedule that flexes around the event calendar
- Compensation: ~$2,000/month (based on experience)
- A dedicated monthly budget for events, materials, and supplies is provided
- Must be based in or near Myrtle Beach/Conway, SC and have reliable transportation
- Expect to work events on weekends
