Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Restoration Insurance Estimator with proven expertise in XACTIMATE, In this dynamic role, you will evaluate restoration projects resulting from water, fire, storm, or other damages, preparing accurate and detailed estimates that facilitate swift claims processing. Your expertise will help clients recover efficiently while ensuring the company's profitability through precise cost control and effective negotiation. Responsibilities
Requirements for position:
comprehensive estimates using XACTIMATE and SYMBILITY software.
Minimum of 4 years of insurance scope/estimating experience in the restoration industry
Minimum of five (5) years construction/restoration/reconstruction industry experience.
Must have knowledge of Insurance based estimating
- Prepare detailed cost estimates that include labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs while maintaining accuracy and transparency.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports to ensure alignment with client expectations and budget constraints.
- Conduct site visits to assess damage scope, verify measurements, and gather additional data necessary for accurate estimation.
- Support project management teams by providing cost control insights and assisting in the development of project schedules and budgets.
- Excellent customer relations skills. Knowledge of restoration and reconstruction practices and procedures.
- Able to prioritize and plan work activities.
- Collaborate closely with insurance adjusters, contractors, and clients to clarify scope and negotiate fair pricing for restoration work.
- Review insurance claims and restoration project details to develop
- Proven experience as an insurance estimator specializing in restoration projects with extensive use of XACTIMATE software.
- Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with clients, contractors, and insurance representatives.
- Ability to interpret construction contracts, manage project documentation, and oversee project scope changes.
Prior experience in construction or restoration industries is essential; site experience is a plus.
