Sales Porter - New/Used
Location: Community Honda Lafayette
Summary:
The Porter - New/Used is responsible for performing various duties related to the sale, presentation, and upkeep of vehicles and dealership property. This role is essential in ensuring vehicles are clean, organized, and ready for customer viewing and delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain vehicle lot in a neat and orderly manner, moving units as directed by Sales Managers in accordance with dealership display standards.
- Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
- Assist with vehicle deliveries to customers.
- Ensure all vehicles on the lot and in the showroom are clean and in good repair.
- Verify that all window stickers are correctly placed on newly arrived vehicles for display.
- Pick up and deliver vehicles to and from storage, auction, or other dealerships.
- Assist with weather-related clean-up as needed.
- Perform building and grounds maintenance when required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Ability to safely handle machinery and equipment.
- Ability to drive across surrounding states for vehicle transport.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to operate an automobile safely.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
