Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and handle cash transactions with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across the restaurant, including food handling, bussing tables, and kitchen areas
- Assist with food safety protocols, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal of ingredients and products
- Support quick service operations by managing time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
- Engage in basic math for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management to ensure accuracy in daily operations
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments such as quick service restaurants, cafés, or retail food outlets is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha or Micros is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining quality standards
- Experience in cashiering, serving customers, or upselling menu items enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
- Prior restaurant or grocery store experience provides a solid foundation for understanding food handling and customer service expectations
