Essential Duties:
- Perform skilled tasks including all levels of maintenance, repairs, and overhauls as directed by leadership
- Troubleshoot and diagnose all levels of Energy Services automation equipment and mechanical system failures
- Optimize Energy Services equipment performance
- Stay abreast of advanced pump and automation theory and maintenance
- Comply with all company and customer safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Comply with all other company policies and procedures
- Complete appropriate paperwork as directed
- Perform duties as trainer when required
- Continually hone and develop electronic and computer skills
- Must be highly proficient in automated and mechanical systems maintenance
- Must be highly proficient in automated and mechanical systems maintenance
- Must have troubleshooting skills that seldom require assistance
- Should be able to diagnose electronic and mechanical control problems
- Must be able to operate all types of diagnostic tools
- Must have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Should have thorough understanding of reference materials
- Preferred experience in process instrumentation / SCADA
- Reporting to Product Line leadership, the Automation Technician responds as necessary to provide implementation, testing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of automation equipment
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- EXPERIENCE: Must have 3-5 years of Instrumentation experience
- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Valid Driver’s License, Vocational training is preferred
- TRAVEL: Must be willing to travel 40% and willing to relocate, if necessary
- OTHER:
- Submit to and satisfactorily complete pre-employment background, medical, alcohol, and drug screening
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Able and willing to work a rotating shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime (if applicable)
- Able and willing to work in inclement weather, climb structures, perform work at heights, and in enclosed spaces
- Able and willing to work both independently in remote locations and in a team environment
