Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Operator to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing warehouse distribution activities, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring efficient inventory control. Your proactive approach will help maintain smooth warehouse operations, support order fulfillment, and uphold safety standards across all tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, and material handling equipment to load, unload, and move inventory safely and efficiently
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to track stock levels accurately
- Perform picking and packing of orders using RF scanners and order pickers to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Conduct shipping and receiving activities in compliance with safety regulations such as OSHA standards
- Maintain proper manual handling techniques for heavy lifting and materials handling to prevent injuries
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) during all warehouse activities
- Support warehouse management in stock stocking, inventory audits, and cycle counts to optimize warehouse distribution processes
Requirements
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, or similar machinery within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, and inventory management
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar inventory management software is preferred
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments or inventory levels
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus for troubleshooting equipment issues
- Demonstrated adherence to safety regulations including OSHA guidelines and PPE use
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed procedures in logistics and materials handling tasks
