We are looking for a team player who is hard working and detail orientated to join our team as a dental assistant. This team member will be able to provide excellent customer service and lift basic dental tasks off the dentist’s shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail and should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. This team member will be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
Responsibilities
- Welcome patients
- Prepare patients for treatments ensuring their comfort
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide post-operative care instructions
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Assist in treatment planning
- Maintain accurate patient records
Skills
- Experience as a dental assistant is preferred, but we will train the right candidate
- Understanding of health & safety regulations (initial and annual training provided)
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- Team player
- High school diploma

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
