Branch Manager will be in charge of serving our membership in a manner that our brand and reputation flourish in the region. This position will also ensure that their staff has every opportunity to meet the goals set by the institution. Professional handling of issues raised by members and staff. Follow all procedures and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Training staff on credit union objectives and providing the necessary information to achieve those objectives; ensuring that all branch personnel understand their individual departmental objectives.
- Evaluate the job performance of branch staff to ensure quality of work and service to members. Prepare and administer disciplinary notices as required.
- Manage the security and safety of the branch. Analyze and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an ongoing basis including but not limited to dual control, cash levels, and internal controls.
- Exhibit the ability to adequately explain credit union policies and procedures to members while adhering to compliance requirements and creatively resolve member concerns with a win-win style.
- Being available to help resolve conflicts; reinforcing continuously respectful communication between all departments.
- Monitoring supply inventories and submitting purchase requests.
- Ensure the achievement of branch objectives through delegation, encouragement and continual communication. This includes the preparation and presentation of performance plans, coaching incidents, and disciplinary actions in accordance with all state and federal regulations and credit union policies and procedures.
- Preparing appropriate annual, monthly, and weekly plans and ensuring that each person understands how teamwork leads to success for all.
- Develop relationships with members and suggest appropriate additional credit union services (cross-sell) meeting those additional needs.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of ALL credit union policies and procedures
- Exhibit commitment to credit union strategic focus, mission, vision, and core values.
- Maintain communication with appropriate management on operations of the branch. Keep staff informed of pertinent changes in operational policy and procedures.
- Oversee the maintenance of the branch.
- Serve as the primary lending officer for the Romney Branch, interviewing applicants, analyzing financial information, making lending recommendations, and ensuring prompt loan decisions.

- Meet or exceed individual and branch lending goals through proactive member outreach and relationship building.
- Identify opportunities to deepen member relationships through cross-selling appropriate credit union products and services.
- Conduct outbound calls to members regarding loan opportunities, maturing certificates, deposit growth opportunities, and member retention initiatives.
- Assist members with complex financial needs and provide solutions that support their financial well-being.
- Assist members with account openings, IRA accounts, business accounts, share certificates, account maintenance, and other member service needs as necessary.
- Support frontline operations during staffing shortages, peak traffic periods, and member escalations.
- Ensure members receive prompt, professional, and courteous service while maintaining a high level of member satisfaction.
- Resolve member concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner
- Actively represent the credit union within the community by attending networking events, chamber functions, community events, schools, employer groups, and other local organizations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, community leaders, schools, and organizations to increase credit union awareness and membership growth.
- Participate in financial education initiatives, community outreach programs, and credit union-sponsored events.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships, and community involvement that align with the credit union's strategic goals.
- Serve as a positive ambassador of the credit union's mission, vision, and values within the community.
- Coach, mentor, and develop branch staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide ongoing feedback, and address performance concerns as needed.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and exceptional member service.
- Ensure staff are properly trained on products, services, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Performing other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications. (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience within a financial institution, including lending and member service responsibilities.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred

- Proficient in use of a calculator and adding machine and proficient typing skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships and represent the organization within the community
- Strong knowledge of consumer lending, deposit products, and branch operations
- Ability to learn and use the credit union PC hardware and software
- Proactive and positive attitude.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
