Quality Staffing Specialists is currently seeking skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologists to work in the hospital's Diagnostic Cath Lab.
Invasive Cath Procedures - 25-35/day, Cardiac interventions, adjunct therapies related to Cardiac intervention. The facility has 6 cardiovascular labs, 1 Electrophysiology lab, and 2 Peripheral Vascular labs. The lab performs both diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, as well as pericardial taps, pacemaker implantation, ablations, cardioversions, and tilt-table testing. The number of procedures varies each week, but the average is around 100.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Must have 2 years of recent Cath Lab Tech experience
- Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience preferred, not required
- Patient Population: Adults and Geriatrics.
- Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), IABP Placement/Removal, Impella Insertion, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Left/Right Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Pulmonary Artery line insertion, Scrub Procedures, Temporary Pacemaker and Ventricular Assist Device insertion.
- Electrophysiology Studies: Cardioversion, Circulatory Procedures, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure and Pacemaker insertion.
- Vascular Studies and Procedures: Angioplasty, Carotid Stenting, Dialysis Graft Creation/Revision, Dialysis Graft Interventions, Endovascular Interventions, Upper/Lower Extremity Angiography and Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy.
- Equipment Used: The lab has just completed the implementation of the Witt documentation system (Philips Medical, Bothell, Wash.). Some of the products we have introduced include the Voyager NC coronary dilatation catheter (Abbott Vascular, Redwood City, Calif.), the Promus everolimus-eluting stent (Boston Scientific, Natick, Mass.), and the iSight intravascular ultrasound echo catheter (Boston Scientific) for vascular access.
- Procedural Responsibilities: Equipment setup, perform EKG lead placement, Prep access site, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, Scrub/Maintain Sterile field and Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose).
- Must have previous charge experience
- EMR: Epic experience required
Location: Greensboro, NC

Rate: $2,560/weekly
Shifts Available: Days: 7:00am-5:00pm (Monday-Friday), 5x8 hour shifts
Scheduling Requirements:
- Length of contract: 13 weeks
- Hours per week: 40
- No Weekends
- On Call Required: STEMI Call required in the Cath lab. Approx. one week's worth of call spread out over an approximate 12–16-week period. This includes 24 hours of call on a Saturday and 24 hours on a Sunday. Call includes some "half" nights (from 530 pm- 9 pm) and some 530 pm- 7 am call shifts. Must be prepared to arrive and be ready to work within 30 min of STEMI activation.
Credential Requirements:
- Resume reflecting all experience & explanation of gaps in employment
- Must have one of the following Certifications:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- BLS Certification (AHA only)
- ACLS Certification (AHA only)
