First Years Preschool is a small, NAEYC-accredited preschool on the Westside of Los Angeles. Our philosophy is rooted in each child's emotional and social well-being, with a strong emphasis on attachment, problem-solving, and a constructivist approach to learning through meaningful experiences.
We are currently seeking a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Floater/Teacher Assistant to support our teaching team.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Additional substitute hours may be available.
Responsibilities
- Provide teachers with lunch and break coverage.
- Support children during lunch, transitions, outdoor play, and rest time.
- Assist in the nap room, helping create a calm and peaceful environment.
- Supervise children and maintain a safe, nurturing classroom.
- Step in wherever support is needed to help the school day run smoothly.
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education units are required.
- Previous preschool experience.
- Warm, patient, and dependable.
- Flexible, proactive, and able to work collaboratively.
