Cardinal Hayes Home for Children is seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Residential Services to provide overall leadership, oversight and management of the agency’s residential programs, administrative oversight of all residential sites in conjunction with the Assistant Residential Director. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all OPWDD regulations and agency policy, adhering to budget limits; and acting as liaison to the staff, families, day service providers, and other community contacts.

This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday / 35 hours per week, but must be flexible to include occasional evening, overnight, and/or weekend work. While predominantly based in Millbrook, NY, you must also be willing and able to travel to other sites in Dutchess County.

· Along with Assistant Director(s) ensure ongoing oversight, assessment, and support to all Residential Supervisors
o Consistent and routine supervision of Residential Supervisors & site observations
o Development, implementation and monitoring of residential systems as necessary
o Promote and support team cohesion, positive morale and staff retention
o Provide administrative support/assistance to ensure adequate staffing coverage
· In conjunction with Assistant Residential Director, monitor staff vacancies, participate in the recruitment process, identify and communicate areas of concern.
· Oversee onboarding of residential management and other assigned positions
· Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations and CHH policies/procedures. Identify and communicate areas of concern.
· Monitor all residential programs to ensure quality of services and completion of recommendations, corrective action plans related to the Justice Center, OPWDD, and CHH investigations and audits.
· Promote professional development of residential leadership staff, supervisory staff, and DSPs through training, educational and networking opportunities, and career development planning.
· Work with Assistant Director of Residential Services to ensure performance reviews and necessary disciplinary actions, are communicated consistently and completed in a timely manner throughout the department.
· Remain current with regard to OPWDD, ICF, Medicaid Waiver, and all other related regulatory changes and updates.
· Monitor and ensure fiscal responsibility in program operation, including staff scheduling, program spending, and individual personal allowance spending.
· Provide oversight to ensure all fire drills meet regulatory requirements (including required admin observations). Provide on-site observation/troubleshooting for problematic drills.
· Promote community participation based on individual interest, preferences, and desires throughout all residential programs. Ensure quarterly reviews of community inclusion activities are completed and any issues addressed as necessary.
· Maintain ongoing communication with all other agency departments to facilitate quality of services, good documentation, appropriate training, and advocacy for the health and safety of residents and staff.
· Actively participate in department/agency/community events to provide support, engagement with staff/individuals/public, and agency/administrative representation.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid NYS Drivers License for at least 3 years required
- Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree in Human Services preferred
- 5-10 years of previous Supervisory Experience in OPWDD Environment required
- Strong Leadership Skills required
- Ability to work with Electronic Health Records
- Proficiency with current common computer applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office

Pay: $98,000.00 - $103,500.00 per year
