Director of People & Development
Location: Syracuse, NYType: Full-Time
This is not an HR job.
We’re looking for someone to build the people side of our company from the ground up.
If you’re looking to process paperwork, approve PTO requests, and sit behind a desk, this isn’t the role for you.
We’re looking for someone who gets excited about building systems, creating structure, developing leaders, and leaving a lasting impact on a growing organization.
Our goal isn’t just to hire people—we want to build one of the best training and leadership cultures in the home improvement industry.
We’re growing quickly and need someone who can help create the future, not just maintain the present.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Build our company training platform (“ Our University”)
- Create onboarding programs for every position
- Build department playbooks and SOPs
- Design career ladders and promotion paths
- Develop leadership training programs
- Create scorecards, checklists, certifications, and testing
- Organize monthly and quarterly training calendars
- Improve communication across departments
- Own employee onboarding and orientation
- Assist with recruiting and hiring processes
- Help manage employee relations and HR compliance
- Keep handbooks, policies, and documentation current
- Work directly with ownership to turn ideas into systems that actually get implemented

Compensation

Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
