Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Painting & Wallpaper Estimator/Inside Sales/Takeoffs to join our team. In this role, you will be the key driver in preparing accurate project estimates, managing client relationships, and translating blueprints into precise material and labor requirements. Your expertise will ensure seamless project planning, cost control, and successful project execution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your construction experience and estimating skills to contribute to high-quality painting and wallpaper projects across diverse settings.
Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings, technical specifications, and project plans to accurately estimate material quantities and labor costs for painting and wallpaper projects.
- Prepare detailed takeoffs using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Xactimate, Planswift and other estimating software to generate reliable bids.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
- Manage project budgets by estimating costs, tracking expenses, and implementing cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Interpret technical drawings and construction documents to determine scope of work, material requirements, and scheduling needs.
- Assist in managing multiple projects simultaneously by coordinating with project managers on timelines, resources, and site-specific considerations.
- Provide inside sales support by responding promptly to customer inquiries, presenting estimates clearly, and fostering strong client relationships for repeat business.
Skills
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for digital takeoffs and construction drawing review.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing with suppliers and clients.
- Experience with HeavyBid or similar construction estimating software for comprehensive project cost analysis.
- Knowledge of construction drawing review, interpreting technical specifications, and estimating material requirements from blueprints.
- Familiarity with Xactimate for insurance restoration or related projects.
- Solid understanding of construction site experience, including managing projects as a construction estimator.
- Expertise in cost management, cost control strategies, and estimating construction project budgets accurately.
- Ability to review contracts thoroughly and support project management processes effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders on pricing strategies and project scope.
