Outpatient Licensed Therapist/ Therapist Intern
The Outpatient Therapist/Therapist Intern will be located at Thrive Wellness’ Liberty St. office. This position will report directly to the Executive Director of Outpatient Services. This position is salaried, non-exempt and is considered full-time.
Work Schedule: 4 days, 32-hours
Base Salary Range: $66,144 - $85,000 (Depending on licensure level)
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health discipline (e.g., Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Professional Counseling)
- Independent licensure in good standing in the State of Nevada as a Social Worker, Professional Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist, or Psychologist
- Previous experience with providing clinical consultation and supervision
- A minimum of three (3) years treating trauma in a behavioral health setting.
- Eligible to provide clinical supervision to Social Work, Professional Counseling, and/or Marriage & Family Therapy interns.
- Advanced training and/or certification in trauma modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Prolonged Exposure (PE), and/or Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
- Previous experience working with eating disorders, perinatal mood disorders, and/or anxiety disorders.

- Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritize and manage your time unsupervised & independently.
Duties:
- Assumes primary responsibility for client caseload of a minimum of 22 completed billable clinical hours per week; scheduling over the 22 billable hours by 20% per week to allow for cancellations; and provide 30 hours of clinical billable scheduling availability per week for full time status (all minimum/maximums are subject to change). Part time employee’s caseload will be decided upon by the outpatient clinical lead and employee with the approval of the executive director and HR. The salary rate includes any hours outside of the clinical billable hours. After the training period, if you are unable to maintain the clinical minimum per week, Thrive Wellness may deduct the missing billable hours from your pay.
- May hold a caseload of up to 29 billable clinical hours per week and receive additional compensation differential for all completed billable sessions beyond 24- depending on licensure/internship progress (With permission from supervisor/outpatient clinical lead).
- Regularly maintains set session times and maintains a schedule that clearly outlines openings for new clients.
- The work schedule is 4 or 5 days per week at 32 or 40 hours per week. (any alternative schedule must be coordinated with outpatient clinical lead). Hours and days will be decided between your supervisor and yourself.
- Participating in the weekly consult meeting.
- You are expected to engage in administrative duties for the remainder of your 32 or 40 hour work week including but not limited to, documentation, coordination of care, completing referrals, phone calls with family members, crisis intervention, helping with coverage in other programs/groups/sessions, assisting with marketing and outreach, assisting with billing tasks, and other duties as assigned.
- Assumes primary responsibility for client caseload requirements.
- Completes biopsychosocial and progress notes as well as other pertinent documentation within company policy timeframes (within 24 hours of session completion).
- Administer, score, and reports on psychometric assessments for clients (appropriate to therapist’s training and licensure). Assessments should inform the treatment plans and outcomes (discharge summaries, aftercare plan, etc.)
- Provides crisis intervention to clients as needed.
- Acts as liaison between community referral sources and clients when necessary.
- Ensures referrals to all appropriate providers- including primary care- are completed based on client’s needs and assists in connecting clients to appropriate providers when more support is needed.
- Works as a member of an interdisciplinary outpatient team and regularly coordinates care with the Clinical Lead/Primary Care/OT/RD/other medical providers
- Must provide detailed coverage schedule if leaving for vacation or approved PTO
- Participating in twice per month all staff meetings on Thursdays at 12 noon (the first and third Thursday of each month via zoom)
