Salary: $140,000–$165,000 annually (based on outpatient psychiatric experience, autonomous practice status, and demonstrated clinical proficiency)
Neuropsychiatric & Counseling Associates is an established outpatient psychiatric practice seeking a compassionate, experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our collaborative team. This is a full-time, in-person position designed for a provider who values practicing thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatry while maintaining a manageable patient schedule and excellent work-life balance.
Our practice prioritizes quality of care over high patient volume. Providers are supported with structured scheduling, dedicated administrative time, and an experienced clinical team, allowing them to focus on delivering exceptional psychiatric care.

Experienced providers are strongly preferred. New graduates will only be considered if they have significant prior psychiatric RN experience and clearly demonstrate readiness to independently manage an outpatient psychiatric caseload.

Qualifications
Required
- Active Virginia PMHNP license
- Virginia DEA registration
- Minimum of 2 years of independent outpatient psychiatric medication management experience required
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and evidence-based psychiatric care
Preferred
- Autonomous practice status
- Experience treating diverse psychiatric conditions across the lifespan
