We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Dental Assistant to join a thriving, small-town, independent general dentistry practice. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced but supportive environment. Experience with or desire to cross-train administrative tasks is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Assist the dentist during a large variety of procedure types and treatment plans
- Take digital X-rays and maintain accurate patient records
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment
- Instruct patients on treatment plans, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices
- Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed
- Follow OSHA and infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred, but we are open to train the right candidate (especially if concurrent alongside a DA certification program)
- X-ray certification, (if applying without a DA certification)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- First-Aid and/or CPR Certificate
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with dental office software is a plus
