We are seeking a experienced dental assistant to join our team. We are looking for an assistant that has an eye for detail. Can work as a unit with our Doctors to ensure the best needs and care for our patients.
```Duties```
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
- Perform dental procedures such as placing fillings, sealants, crowns , extractions, implants, and fluoride treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed
```Requirements```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Completion of blood born and pathogen class
- X-Ray certification
- Dental assisting experience would be nice but not a requirement
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Proficiency in computer skills, including CAD software and medical coding
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with medical imaging and interpretation of vital signs
