Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, wine, craft beers, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Manage bar inventory, including stocking supplies, monitoring stock levels, and placing orders as needed
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Develop new beverage recipes and suggest drink pairings to enhance guest experiences
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with health regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any special requests or concerns
- Handle cashing out customers, processing payments securely with proper cash handling procedures
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for seamless order processing
- Extensive cocktail experience with knowledge of beverage recipe development and presentation techniques
- Strong wine knowledge to assist guests with selections and pairings
- Experience working in fine dining environments or upscale bars to deliver premium service
- Familiarity with craft beer trends and brewing processes to inform recommendations
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy service periods efficiently
- Customer service skills that foster a welcoming atmosphere and encourage repeat visits
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math proficiency, and food industry calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices related to beverage preparation and serving
- Previous bar management or banquet experience is a plus but not required
