Operations Manager
Reputable commercial and industrial cleaning company, in business for 60 years, servicing Northern California, and the Bay area, committed to providing exceptional service and dependeability, is seeking an experienced operations manager, to oversee and optimize all day-to-day field and operational activities.
Reporting to the owner/president, the operations manager will be responsible for providing hands-on leadership. This role requires flexibility, problem-solving, a willingness to cross-train across multiple functions—including dispatch, field supervision, customer coordination, and sales support, efficient scheduling, high-quality service delivery, safety compliance, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships across construction and commercial job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Field Management
· Oversee all daily operations across multiple job sites.
· Develop and manage driver schedules, routes, and equipment allocation.
· Ensure jobs are completed on time and to company standards.
· Conduct field audits to verify service quality.
· Troubleshoot operational issues in real-time.
Dispatch & Logistics
· Dispatch drivers and equipment efficiently.
· Coordinate last-minute schedule changes and emergency requests.
· Optimize routes and crew utilization.
· Maintain accurate job tracking and records.
Team Leadership & Accountability
· Supervise drivers and enforce performance expectations.
· Provide coaching, training, and corrective action.
· Assist in hiring and onboarding field staff.
· Promote a culture of accountability and professionalism.
· Maintaining positive company culture and employee morale.
Customer & Project Coordination
· Serve as primary contact for contractors and project managers.
· Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
· Resolve service issues quickly and professionally.
· Build strong relationships for repeat business.
Safety & Compliance
· Enforce company safety policies and DOT, CARB and regional compliance programs.
· Ensure drivers maintain proper licensing and documentation (i.e. DMV Pull Program).
· Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Equipment & Maintenance Oversight
· Monitor equipment condition and utilization.
· Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs.
· Minimize downtime.
Sales Support & Business Development
· Identify opportunities for additional work.
· Identify and pursue current and future bid opportunities.
· Support estimating and bidding processes.
· Assist in building relationships with new clients.
· Support current and future equipment.
Performance Metrics
· On-time job completion rate.
· Driver productivity and utilization.
· Customer satisfaction and repeat business.
· Equipment uptime.
· Safety performance.
· Revenue growth.
Qualifications
· 3–5+ years in operations, logistics, construction, and/or fleet management.
· Experience managing drivers or field crews.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities.
· Dispatch or fleet management experience preferred.
· Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred; Class B strongly preferred).
· Bilingual: English/Spanish a plus.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $112,000.00 per year
