ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Responsible for fabricating and preparing metal for operations such as shear, saw, burner.
- Operate press brake machines, hand tools, grinders, shear, and saw machines.
- Able to properly and efficiently set up and operate the burn table. This requires programming and the use of ProNest to generate parts from cut lists.
- Able to properly use the Anver mechanical vacuum lifter as outlined in the safety guidelines and training.
- Responsible for the quality control of items produced on the burn table. This includes, but is not limited to: cut quality and hole quality.
- Provide backup when needed to layout assistants.
- Properly identify materials such as sheet, plate, channel, tube, and flat bar along with their thickness and gauge. Identify material types such as mild steel and stainless steel.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Be proficient with basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide). Must understand fractions and decimals.
- Properly identify materials such as sheet, plate, channel, tube, and flat bar along with their thickness and or gauge. Also identify material type such as mild steel or stainless steel.
- Familiar with using measurement tools such as a tape measure, square and protractor.
- Able to follow directions, ask questions, and learn from layout supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety rules as outlined in the Burn Table Safety Zone and Safe Operating Procedures Training, or as otherwise posted or decreed.
- Experience operating a forklift, jib crane, and overhead crane.
- Punch, shear, rollers, and any other equipment used to complete job requirements.
- Must adhere to company safety standards at all times.
- Work and communicate well with others.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level is usually moderate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Practices a strong work ethic.
- Possesses qualities such as productivity, dependability, resourcefulness, efficiency, and professionalism.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years metal fabrication experience using burn/plasma table.
- On hand knowledge of gas types, regulator readings, pressures and handling.
Compensation: $26-28/hour based on experience and qualifications.

Works at the Waconia, MN facility.
