Sabal Jewelers in Babcock Ranch, FL is seeking an experienced Bench Jeweler who takes pride in exceptional craftsmanship and enjoys helping build something from the ground up. Key Responsibilities
1. Bench Jeweler
- Perform high-quality jewelry repairs and restorations
- Size rings, solder chains, rebuild prongs, replace shanks, set stones, and perform general bench work
- Complete custom jewelry fabrication and modifications
- Maintain exceptional craftsmanship while meeting reasonable turnaround times
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the quality standards of Sabal Jewelers
- Perform minor watch services, such as bracelet sizing and battery replacements
2. Shop Development
- Assist in setting up and organizing the bench jeweler workspace
- Recommend tools, equipment, and supplies needed for an efficient repair shop
- Provide input on repair workflows and shop organization
- Help maintain an organized inventory of repair materials, tools, and supplies
3. Technical Expertise
- Assist in developing repair intake, quality control, and inspection standards
- Serve as the technical resource for repair evaluations and recommendations as needed
- Share technical expertise with leadership to support repair processes and team training
- Provide technical input on custom jewelry projects when needed
Qualifications
- 5+ years of bench jeweler experience preferred
- Strong jewelry repair and stone-setting skills
- Experience with custom jewelry fabrication and redesigns is highly desirable
- Experience operating a laser welder is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Positive, team-oriented attitude
- Customer-facing experience is a plus
- Ability to work Tuesday through Friday from 9:00AM – 6:00PM and Saturday 9:00AM – 3:30PM. (Closed Sunday & Monday). Hours may vary during the holiday season and for special events.
