About the Role
uBreakiFix by Asurion is hiring a Computer & Electronics Repair Technician for our Seabrook location, starting at $20 per hour.
This role is designed for someone with existing computer repair, diagnostic, or technical support experience who is ready to expand into phone repair immediately. Your computer experience should provide a strong technical foundation, but this is not a computer-only position.
You will continue working with computers while receiving structured training to develop proficiency with common iPhone, Samsung, and other mobile-device repairs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your primary focus will be diagnostics, repair execution, and technical support for the store.
- Diagnosing and repairing desktops, laptops, and other computers
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, operating system, and performance issues
- Completing upgrades, data transfers, component replacements, and device setup
- Immediately participating in structured phone repair training
- Developing proficiency with screen, battery, camera, speaker, charging, and other common phone repairs
- Diagnosing tablets, game consoles, and other consumer electronics
- Testing devices before and after repair
- Documenting diagnostic findings, repair notes, parts usage, and outcomes accurately
- Communicating repair risks, timelines, and technical findings clearly
- Supporting front-of-house staff with technical questions and customer expectations
- Following parts, inventory, OEM, warranty, and partner procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organized repair workspace
- Assisting with customer check-ins and pickups when needed
Compensation & Growth
This position starts at $20 per hour, with future earning and advancement opportunities based on technical growth, repair quality, productivity, reliability, and operational performance.
Employees who successfully expand from computer repair into phone and multi-device repair may be considered for advanced technical, lead, or management opportunities over time.
What We’re Looking For
Ideal candidates will have:
- Hands-on computer repair, diagnostic, or technical support experience
- Familiarity with computer hardware, operating systems, upgrades, and troubleshooting
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Willingness to begin learning phone repair immediately
- Attention to detail when handling devices and components
- Ability to follow structured repair and documentation procedures
- Reliability with attendance and schedule expectations
- Ability to manage multiple repairs and prioritize workload
- Professional communication with customers and coworkers
- Willingness to support the full store operation rather than remain limited to computer work
Ability to Commute
This position is based out of our Seabrook, NH location.
Candidates must be able to reliably commute to Seabrook and may also be asked to support the nearby Salem location as needed:
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
