About the Role
APH Marine Construction is a growing marine contractor running a dredge operation alongside multiple construction crews building seawalls, docks, and waterfront infrastructure. We’re hiring a hardworking, dependable Deckhand who’s happiest when no two days look the same — one day rigging pipe on the water, the next running the warehouse.
Your first priority is the dredge. When the dredge crew needs hands, that’s where you are. On the days the machine is running smooth and cans are moving on their own, you’ll roll to whatever the rest of the company needs.
What You’ll Do — On Dredge Days
Lay out and connect HDPE pipe, on land and in the water
Run a jet pump; rinse, clean, and paint equipment
Turn wrenches to swap consumables (impellers, wear parts, hoses, gaskets)
Serve as a capable second set of hands on the water
What You’ll Do — On the Other Days
Work alongside our marine construction crews
Clean and organize the warehouse; receive and check in deliveries
Operate a forklift
Pick up and deliver parts and materials
Provide general help wherever we’re short
Requirements
Able to perform hot, wet, physically demanding work on and around the water
Mechanically inclined — can turn a wrench and follow a task through
Reliable and punctual; able to work without close supervision
Valid driver’s license with a clean enough record to drive company vehicles
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in Florida heat
Preferred (Not Required)
Forklift experience
Marine, dock, or construction background
Comfortable on and around boats
