Job Overview
An international leader in the manufacture and distribution of colorants and additives for the polymers industry is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Lead to join our team. In this role, you will ensure that our products and processes meet or exceed all customer expectations. You will be instrumental in maintaining, coaching, and delivering quality across manufacturing, research, and customer service activities. Your expertise will safeguard the integrity of our operations while supporting the needs of our customers.
Duties
- Monitor color and performance compliance to customer standards.
- Recommend adjustments for color, strength, opacity, and performance of plastics and compounds
- Review, complete and approve quality documentation related to production lots, customers, and other intermediate processes.
- Perform and document all tests required, either by company or customer, to ensure product conformance.
- Coordinate QC/QA activities with product development team to best support plant and sales goals.
- Active participation in complaint & corrective action programs.
- Active participation in ISO registration and auditing programs.
Experience
- Strong knowledge of color management in plastics.
- Proven experience in quality control and quality systems operation in a colorant, masterbatch, or ink manufacturing setting
- Experience with color management software systems.
- Background in resin, compounding, or plastics manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.
- Effective communication skills for training teams, preparing reports, and liaising with sales staff and customers.
