About Us
We are a boutique, plaintiff-side personal injury litigation firm based in California, taking on personal injury cases because we believe injured people deserve skilled, tenacious representation. We are a focused, fast-moving firm that handles complex cases with care and strategic discipline. We are looking for a sharp, motivated attorney – recent law graduate or early-career lawyer – who is ready to learn fast, take ownership, and grow into a key role on our pre-litigation and litigation teams.
Our Values: Genuine Integrity · Client-First Focus · Relentless Advocacy · Accountability · Continuous Growth · Mutual Respect · Results That Matter
The Role
This is a rare opportunity for a new or early-career attorney to get real, hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of plaintiff-side personal injury, not just research and memo-writing. You'll work closely with the firm's principal attorney, building case strategy, communicating directly with clients, and developing the skills that typically take years to access at larger firms. This is a fully remote position best suited to someone who is resourceful, comfortable using AI tools to work efficiently, and ready to independently manage a meaningful caseload from early on.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage a high-volume active caseload across all stages of the case lifecycle, from pre-litigation to litigation, while prioritizing competing deadlines across multiple active matters
- Drive case progression proactively – identifying what needs to happen next and executing without prompting
- Interface with insurance carriers in the pre-litigation claims process, including the drafting of demand letters
- Draft a wide range of litigation documents, including complaints, discovery responses, pleadings, memoranda, and affidavits – using AI tools to accelerate drafting and research while maintaining rigorous accuracy
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and genuine empathy throughout their case
- Manage and maintain the firm's electronic case file system with precision
- Review and finalize drafts for accuracy, formatting, and completeness
- Manage attorney calendars, including court appearances, filing deadlines, and case milestones
- Prepare and coordinate notices, deposition scheduling, and service of subpoenas
- Support fact investigation and case development efforts across the litigation team
- Flag issues, deadlines, and case developments proactively – communicate early, not after the fact
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and use technology, including AI tools, to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality
What We're Looking For
- Active license to practice law in California (or eligible to be barred imminently)
- J.D. from an accredited law school; recent graduates and entry-level attorneys are encouraged to apply
- Strong legal writing and analytical skills
- Resourceful and comfortable using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) to support research, drafting, and case management — with the judgment to know when human review and independent reasoning matter most
- Self-directed with the ability to independently manage a caseload as you gain experience, without close supervision
- Genuine interest in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation and advocating for injured people
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfort learning new legal technology platforms
- Sound judgment in time-sensitive or high-stakes situations
- Discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Composure and professionalism under pressure
- Genuine curiosity and commitment to ongoing professional development
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, though not required
