Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients with professionalism and care
- Complete patient intake, medical history, and required forms
- Perform pre-testing to prepare patients for their eye exams
- Assist the doctor with specialty testing and treatment procedures
- Chart the doctor's findings accurately in real time using an iPad/EHR
- Educate patients on treatment options and their benefits
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the patient visit
- Support a variety of day-to-day clinical and administrative tasks
- Help promote services and contribute to practice growth
- Work collaboratively with the team to keep patient flow efficient
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Optometric Technician, Ophthalmic Technician, Medical Assistant, or in a healthcare setting is preferred (training may be provided for the right candidate)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Sales experience or confidence in sales conversations is a plus
- Comfortable speaking with patients and presenting information
- Positive attitude, flexible, and willing to learn
- Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive in a fast-paced environment
