Designer – Men's & Women's Private Label + Brand Support

Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Designer to support all aspects of product development across our men's and women's private label business and our premium women's denim brand, Oliver Logan.
As a denim-focused company, the majority of our product development centers around denim. This role requires an individual with extensive denim experience who understands denim construction, garment engineering, fit, washes, laundry techniques, fabric development, and manufacturing.
This role is responsible for managing private label programs from concept through production while also supporting the Design Director across Oliver Logan. The position plays a key role in all aspects of product development for both businesses, including design, technical design, CAD development, tech packs, sample management, factory communication, ERP data management, and maintaining accurate product information throughout the development process.
The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has outstanding Adobe Illustrator and CAD skills, and enjoys balancing creative design with the operational details that keep product development running smoothly.
Core ResponsibilitiesDesign & Product Development
- Manage men's and women's denim-focused private label programs from concept through production.
- Support the Design Director with seasonal product development for Oliver Logan, our premium women's denim brand.
- Translate customer briefs into commercially successful products that meet quality, margin, and timeline objectives.
- Develop original designs, color palettes, denim washes, fabrications, trims, garment details, and seasonal collections.
- Create presentation materials, line sheets, and seasonal development tools.
- Build and maintain complete, production-ready tech packs for both Private Label and Oliver Logan.
- Partner with overseas factories throughout sampling, development, costing, and production.
Technical Design & CAD Development
- Create accurate CADs and technical flats with exceptional attention to detail.
- Develop comprehensive production-ready tech packs including construction details, BOMs, measurements, and specifications.
- Maintain all revisions and development updates throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with fit, production, and factories to ensure product accuracy from concept through production.
Sample Management
- Own the sample management process for both Oliver Logan and Private Label from start to finish.
- Track all incoming and outgoing samples throughout development.
- Receive, check in, label, and organize all samples upon arrival.
- Maintain a clean, organized sample room and ensure all styles are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Prepare and ship samples for customer meetings, sales presentations, photoshoots, fittings, and factory reviews.
- Review development samples for quality, construction, workmanship, fit, and accuracy.
- Prepare detailed fit and construction comments and communicate revisions clearly to factories.
ERP & Data Management
- Enter and maintain style information, colorways, BOMs, fabrics, trims, costing information, and development data within ERP systems.
- Ensure all product information is complete, accurate, and production-ready.
- Maintain organized development records throughout each season.
Vendor & Factory Communication
- Communicate directly with domestic and overseas factories throughout product development.
- Track development timelines and proactively follow up to keep programs on schedule.
- Resolve development issues while balancing design intent, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Participate in vendor meetings and development reviews.
- Review factory submissions and communicate clear, concise development comments.
Organization & Team Support
- Maintain exceptional organization across all design files, samples, development documentation, and seasonal records.
- Prioritize multiple brands, customers, calendars, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Production, Sales, Merchandising, and Operations.
- Assist wherever needed to support the Design Director and overall product development process.
- Maintain a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications
- Denim industry experience is required. Candidates without significant hands-on denim design and product development experience will not be considered.
- 5–8+ years of apparel design and product development experience.
- Extensive experience designing and developing denim products for men's and/or women's apparel.
- Strong understanding of denim fabrics, garment construction, fit, washes, laundry processes, finishing techniques, and denim manufacturing.
- Experience designing men's and women's apparel.
- Strong experience managing private label development from concept through production.
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills with exceptional CAD drawing ability.
- Expert-level experience creating production-ready tech packs.
- Experience communicating directly with overseas factories.
- Experience working within ERP or PLM systems.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $72,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year
