Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist credential or certification (as required by the state)
- Previous experience in a school setting, working with children or adolescents
- Familiarity with special education processes, including assessments and eligibility determination
- Strong background in providing counseling, developing intervention plans, and crisis management
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain detailed records, adhere to timelines, and balance multiple priorities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students, including cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional assessments
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Support students through direct counseling and intervention services
- Collaborate on and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
- Assist in developing and monitoring behavior intervention plans
- Participate in staff training, RTI/MTSS initiatives, and professional development sessions
