Synapse Neuro Rehab is currently looking for a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team. We specialize in neurological physical therapy and pride ourselves in providing care with the integrity and follow-through that our patients deserve.
At Synapse Neuro Rehab, we work hard to set the standard of care in the field of neurologic physical therapy. We believe that the only way to meet the needs of this complex patient population is 1:1 treatment sessions lasting 45-60 minutes (according to what your patients need and can tolerate). We believe that our patients need to receive treatment where they will benefit most, whether in clinic or at home.
We are in Shrewsbury, NJ and sometimes the surrounding area for in-home therapy. We hold 1 on 1 regular mentorship meetings at least monthly with all DPTs to review patient cases, and discuss current neurologic rehabilitation concepts, and work on clinical skills together.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with patient and caregivers to set and achieve meaningful goals
- Develop care plans using a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques
- Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs
- Motivate patients during treatment to help them move and function optimally
- Promote patients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
- Consult and practice with other health professionals
- Evaluate and monitor treatment effects to communicate progress
- Document patient care services in a timely manner (using WebPT)
Qualifications and Skills
- Specialty certifications in neurological rehabilitation are preferred (NCS, LSVT, PWR! ...)
- Current knowledge of neurological evidence-based treatment practices
- Drive to continually learn and grow through mentorship and CEU’s
- High level of professionalism
- Valid NJ license to practice physical therapy
- Graduate degree or greater in physical therapy
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
