Composite Technician (Level I & II)
Location: Poway, CA | Saber Springs, CA | Spanish Fork, UT
Shift:
- 1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Poway) / 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Spanish Fork)
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:30 AM
- 3rd Shift: 9:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Spanish Fork)
Job Summary
We are seeking skilled Composite Technicians to fabricate, assemble, and repair advanced composite structures used in aerospace and high-performance manufacturing. Candidates should have experience working with carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, adhesives, hand tools, blueprints, and precision assembly while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
The ideal candidate has excellent attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and experience working in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble composite structures using carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar, and honeycomb materials.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Perform composite lay-up, trimming, routing, drilling, sanding, bonding, and finishing.
- Install hardware including rivets, bolts, bushings, inserts, and brackets.
- Prepare bonding surfaces using sanding, cleaning, and approved surface treatment methods.
- Apply structural adhesives and sealants following manufacturing procedures.
- Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, jigs, and measuring instruments.
- Perform fit-up, alignment, and dimensional inspections.
- Record production documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and company safety standards.
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Level I
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing, assembly, or composite experience.
Level II
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on composite lamination experience.
- Actual composite/lamination experience MUST be clearly listed on the resume.

Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand for extended periods.
- Work in a manufacturing environment.
- Wear required PPE, including respirators if required.
- Ability to climb ladders when necessary.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.64 per hour
