Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Full Time Cook to work in our dietary services within an residential environment. Duties
- Implement balanced, nutritious menus aligned with dietary guidelines and individual care plans.
- Participate in food preparation and presentation to ensure quality, taste, and visual appeal.
- Work with manager to ensure the dietary department’s daily operations, including food safety, preparations and storage.
- Ensure compliance with all health regulations, safety standards, and documentation requirements related to food service and resident care.
- Oversee budgeting for the dietary department, including procurement of supplies and cost control measures.
Experience
- Proven experience in s dietary environment within assisted living or similar healthcare settings.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, dietetics principles, and care planning.
- Familiarity with patient assessment techniques related to nutritional needs and health conditions such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluation.
- Experience managing budgets within a food service or healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations related to assisted living facilities and dietary services.
