Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform electrical work on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices such as ohmmeters and multimeters; identify faults in low voltage and high voltage systems.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, low voltage, and NEC regulations during all work activities.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as frame carpenters or general contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Document work performed through detailed reports and logs; communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about project status.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems in construction or renovation environments.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and troubleshooting complex electrical circuits.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices essential for electrical diagnostics.
- Knowledge of NEC standards, high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, and safety protocols for construction sites.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately; experience with construction or renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work independently or as part of a team under tight deadlines.
- Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local regulations; additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and interpret technical instructions clearly. Pay: $25,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
