Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail art with precision and care
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current trends in nail design, color theory, and techniques to offer personalized recommendations
- Ensure all tools and workstations are sanitized according to health and safety standards to promote client safety and hygiene
- Provide excellent customer service by listening to client preferences, offering professional advice, and upselling additional services or retail products
- Assist clients with selecting suitable nail products, including polish colors and treatments that complement their style and skin tone
- Keep detailed records of services provided and client preferences for future appointments
- Stay updated on new treatments such as dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments that can enhance client satisfaction
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology license with specialization or certification in nail technology
- Strong knowledge of nail care procedures, sanitation protocols, and safety standards
- Experience with advanced nail techniques including gel applications, acrylics, and intricate nail art
- Familiarity with complementary beauty services such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, hair extensions, hair threading, or esthetic laser treatments is a plus
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively and understand their beauty goals
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a friendly approach
- Basic retail math skills for managing product sales and inventory efficiently
