Job Summary
A small low key bar/restaurant with a flare of spicy foods/drinks. Long time neighborhood bar with established customer base but looking to grow. Looking for a fast, friendly, neat person to bring it to the next level.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic drinks using POS
- Cook and assemble menu items with precision, ensuring quality and presentation meet our high standards.
- Manage food safety and proper food handling procedures to maintain health regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through POS and cashiering systems while managing cash handling responsibilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and kitchen areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Utilize time management skills to efficiently balance multiple orders during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Promote sales by upselling beverages and menu items to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
- Support team members in food preparation, serving, and cleanup to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts.
Qualifications
- Prior restaurant or food service experience
- Familiarity with POS systems such as CLOVER is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, food handling, and basic math skills including retail math for transactions.
- Experience in beverage preparation, TAM training will be done if not already.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced settings while demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Basic math proficiency for cash handling and sales transactions; attention to detail is essential.
