Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance on store products and services
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Must be able to lift heavy kegs
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Maintain stock levels through stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products to maximize visual appeal
- Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cash drawer management, and basic math calculations for transactions
- Deliver exceptional customer service by answering questions, providing product recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, recording product movements, and supporting stock replenishment efforts
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
- Support sales initiatives through upselling techniques to enhance store revenue and meet sales targets
- Participate in merchandising activities to create attractive displays that highlight key products
Qualifications
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in both English and bilingual settings if applicable
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising principles, and customer service best practices
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately for cash handling and sales processing
- Excellent phone etiquette skills for professional communication with customers and vendors
- Demonstrated ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
