Job Overview
We are looking for a drywall taping foreman to oversee our projects. This person should have >20 years of taping experience. Speak English and Spanish. Understand how to direct a crew, manage material and General Contractors. High-level finishes are required on all jobs.
Responsibilities
- Apply tape, mud, and other finishing materials to drywall seams and joints.
- Smooth surfaces using sanders and other tools to achieve a flawless finish.
- Inspect completed work for quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or for project tracking and reporting.
- Assist in budgeting and resource allocation for drywall projects.
- Supervise junior staff or subcontractors on-site to ensure quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Drywall Finisher or similar role in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction management principles and software.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices on construction sites.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong supervisory skills when required.
- Proficiency in using various tools and equipment related to drywall finishing.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- No weekends
