Ensures quality in all materials and products before, during, and after production through various inspection methods while ensuring compliance to quality standards and requirements.
Responsibilities
· Interpret and follow quality requirements, industry standards, customer specifications and written instructions.
· Inspect and disposition all incoming materials and in-process products to ensure they meet quality, customer and regulatory standards and requirements.
· Inspect and disposition final products before shipping to ensure that the products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
· Perform thorough inspections of materials, products, equipment, documentation, production processes, etc.
· Document, record and report inspections, measurements, defects, deviations, nonconformities and noncompliance into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.
· Maintain and monitor company nonconformance log ensuring timely and accurate actions, recording, recording, and closure.
· Communicate and assist with the resolution of quality issues for internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to NCM responses, incident reporting, requests for supplier RMAs, issuance of supplier corrective actions, participation in supplier, customer and company audits.
· Collect, compare and analyze data for comparisons, recommendations, corrective actions and root cause analysis and actively participate in corrective actions as a team member and put forward corrective suggestions.
· Continuously monitor and enforce compliance with all quality policies, procedures and processes.
· Assists Operations as needed.
Requirements
· 5+ years of material inspection experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
· ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) experience
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Knowledge and understanding of AS9100
· Able to read, write and comprehend moderately complex instructions
· Ability to effectively communicate and present information to internal and external interested parties
· Accurate record keeping, data entry and computer skills
· Data entry and computer skills
· Time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
Location
South Windsor, CT with occasional travel within the northeast United States.
Due to ITAR restrictions, candidates must be citizens, permanent residents, or have asylee/refugee status in the United States.
