As a Packaging Team Member, you would start off the day weighing out food components into trays, sealing the tray, labeling it, and then loading them for transport.

The Job Itself:
Core Purpose
The Packaging Team Member executes all assigned packaging tasks to ensure meals are portioned accurately, plated correctly, sealed to standard, labeled properly, and staged correctly for retail distribution.
This role supports packaging operations by maintaining precision, urgency, cleanliness, and adherence to KITCH quality and food safety standards.
Reports to: Packaging Lead
Core ResponsibilitiesProduction Execution
· Portion meals according to plating cards with 99% accuracy to target component weights
· Ensure plating matches approved format 100% of the time
· Operate MAP sealing machine after proper training
· Apply and verify correct expiration labels and product information
· Stage completed meals accurately by retail location
· Maintain production pace aligned with shift goals
Sealing, Labeling & Quality Control
· Monitor seal integrity before staging product
· Ensure correct labeling placement and accuracy
· Self-check portion weights and presentation before passing meals forward
· Immediately correct errors when identified
· Pause work and notify Lead if standards are compromised
Food Safety & Sanitation
· Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout the shift
· Follow daily cleaning and sanitation checklists
· Adhere to all food safety, cooling, and handling procedures
· Maintain inspection-ready standards at all times
Team Execution & Communication
· Follow direction from the Packaging Lead and Supervisor
· Accept real-time correction professionally
· Communicate clearly and respectfully
· Assist with training new team members when assigned
· Maintain urgency without sacrificing accuracy
Performance Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by:
· Consistent 99% portion accuracy
· 100% plating compliance to approved standards
· Zero preventable seal failures due to operator error
· Zero preventable labeling errors
· Ability to maintain production pace
· Clean, inspection-ready workstation
· Reliable attendance and punctuality
Authority
· May correct other Packaging Team Members to uphold standards, procedures, and food safety.
· Responsible for executing assigned packaging tasks accurately and efficiently
· Authorized to pause work to correct portioning, sealing, or labeling errors
· Expected to speak up immediately if product quality or safety is compromised
· Reports directly to the Packaging Lead during active operations

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
