Paragon Plastics is a Custom Thermoforming Manufacturer of Heavy-Gauge Vacuum-Formed Plastic Products. Our dedicated team members provide high-quality, cost-effective solutions for our customers’ application. Our highly skilled sales and engineering staff routinely work with customers to develop the required tooling and processes to meet their product needs. We offer a full range of services to bring a product from early ideas to production, including CAD design, pattern milling, plastic forming, assembly and finishing. Paragon Plastics is a Division of Ashley Industrial Molding, headquartered in Ashley, Indiana.
Duties
- Operate and oversee 3 and 5-axis CNC routers and laser machines.
- Supervise daily shop operations and support production schedules.
- Manage and coordinate production workflow to meet deadlines.
- Train, mentor, and support shop employees on equipment and processes.
- Maintain CNC routers, tooling, and equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
- Support new program launches and process setups.
- Assist with cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review and improve fixtures, and processes to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Provide manufacturing support and assist Engineering, Production, and Quality teams.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of CAD/CAM fundamentals and CNC machining processes.
- Hands-on experience with 5-axis or 3-axis CNC equipment preferred.
- Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Experience with lean manufacturing and process improvement.
- Ability to maintain high quality standards and meet production goals.
- Strong commitment to safety and employee development.
- Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Team-oriented with a hands-on approach.
- Demonstrated computer skills (ERP and M365).
- Technical degree or equivalent work experience required.
